Game of Attrition CD



Game of Attrition: Arlene Sierra, Vol. 2, is Sierra's orchestral portrait disc, released by Bridge Records to international critical acclaim.



In a preview of the upcoming Bridge Records release, Arlene Sierra, Vol. 2, the BBC will broadcast Sierra's Game of Attrition for Chamber Orchestra on its Afternoon on 3 programme on Tuesday October 15th at 3:45pm BST. There will also be a short interview with the composer.

Arlene Sierra, Vol. 2, an orchestral portrait CD recorded by the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Jac Van Steen conductor, is set for release by Bridge Records in late 2013. Watch this site for news of upcoming preview broadcasts of other works from the disc including Aquilo (2001), Art of War (2010), and Moler (2012).

Game of Attrition was commissioned by the New York Philharmonic in 2009. It was the opening work in the inaugural CONTACT! contemporary music series initiated by the New York Phil's Artistic Director Alan Gilbert and Composer-in-Residence Magnus Lindberg.
