Game of Attrition CD

Game of Attrition: Arlene Sierra, Vol. 2, is Sierra's orchestral portrait disc, released by Bridge Records to international critical acclaim.

Arlene Sierra has been named Composer-in-Association with the Utah Symphony, via their February 2020 press release

January 2020 saw the first performances of Arlene Sierra's music by the Utah Symphony, when her orchestral showpiece Moler was performed twice to critical acclaim. In the 2020-2021 season the Utah Symphony will perform three more works by Arlene Sierra, two U.S. premieres - Aquilo, and Nature Symphony - and a world premiere, Arlene Sierra's much anticipated Bird Symphony, conducted by Music Director Thierry Fischer.

Additionally Prof. Sierra will take part in educational projects with schools and universities in the Salt Lake City area, and engage in a variety of talks and events with Utah Symphony audiences.

In their season publicity the Utah Symphony wrote, "We are thrilled to have one of America’s most beloved composers join us this season as Composer In Association."

Arlene Sierra said, "I have admired the work of Thierry Fischer and the Utah Symphony for many years, and particularly their commitment to the best in new music. It is a great thrill and honor to be invited to serve as Composer-in-Association, and I look forward to our upcoming artistic collaboration."
